Your content
PocketKey stores your card images, PDFs, passwords, usernames, customer IDs and notes locally in an AES-encrypted file. The local key is stored in the device keychain. The developer does not operate a server for your wallet and cannot access or recover its contents. The app contains no advertising, analytics SDKs or tracking.

Device authentication and imports
The operating system checks Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. PocketKey receives the result, but no biometric data or passcode. You choose which photos and files to import. The app copies them into the encrypted wallet.

Optional iCloud synchronization
Only when you enable sync are your contents stored in the private CloudKit database of your Apple Account. The archive is encrypted before upload; its key is stored in an encrypted CloudKit field. Apple provides this service. Devices using the same Apple Account can synchronize changes. Internal random identifiers and modification timestamps are used to resolve conflicts. Daily background sync is scheduled; Apple controls its timing on iPhone and iPad. Turning sync off stops further synchronization and does not automatically delete existing cloud data. You can manage app data in iCloud settings. Apple's processing is covered by Apple's privacy information: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

Trial and subscription
Apple processes the annual subscription through the App Store. Eligible new subscribers receive three days free, then pay €5 per year in the German store. It renews automatically unless cancelled in time. The regional price is shown before confirmation. To avoid a charge after the trial, cancel in Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before its end. The app verifies Apple-signed transactions, expiration, revocation and any billing grace period solely to determine access. The developer receives no payment details or Apple passwords. Existing entries remain readable and copyable after expiry. Previously purchased lifetime unlocks remain valid.

Copying and security
The copy button places the selected value on the system clipboard. Other apps or devices may access it according to system settings. Screenshots and exported files are outside the encrypted wallet. PocketKey does not replace official identity documents.

Retention and deletion
Content is retained until you delete it. When sync is enabled, deletions synchronize; internal identifiers and deletion timestamps remain in the archive for conflict resolution. Device data, cloud data and backups may need separate deletion. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete iCloud content. The developer has no copy of your wallet.

Support and your rights
If you voluntarily send a support email, its contact details and contents are processed to answer your request. Do not send passwords or full identity-document copies. Processing is necessary to respond to your request or based on the legitimate interest in providing support; statutory retention requirements may apply. Support messages are deleted when no longer needed, unless a retention obligation applies.
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, object to processing or withdraw consent for future processing. You may complain to a data protection authority. For contents stored only on your device or in your Apple Account, use app and iCloud controls; the developer cannot access them.
